Jemimah Kagwiria is an optimistic and confident child, yet her life circumstances revealed deep struggles. Coming from a single-parent household, she faced extreme hardship, with her parent unable to provide even the most basic needs.
Although Jemimah had no major health issues, she often appeared pale and hungry, a clear sign of consistent food deprivation. Despite her bright personality, she was in desperate need of care, support, and protection.
Her case was referred to Shiphrah Centre by Chief Mwanyani of Sititing Sub-location, who recognized the dire poverty of her family and the parent’s inability to provide for her.
At Shiphrah, Jemimah found a safe space where her optimism could thrive—alongside proper meals, shelter, and the care she deserved. Her journey is a reminder that even the most hopeful children need a foundation of stability to shine.
