Simon Murimi

Simon Murimi’s childhood was filled with struggle and uncertainty. He was a destitute child in need of care, protection, and shelter, growing up without the stability and guidance that every child deserves.

Simon’s hardship was shared with his siblings, John Njuguna and Cecelia Wairimu. Together, they endured a life marked by neglect, hunger, and lack of medical attention. Their situation became so dire that it was clear they could not survive without intervention.

The children were referred to Shiphrah Centre, where their lives began to change. For the first time, Simon experienced what it meant to have consistent meals, a safe place to sleep, and caring adults to look after him.

At Shiphrah, Simon was given the opportunity to attend school, grow in a stable environment, and heal from the hardships of his early life. Most importantly, he remained with his brother John and sister Cecelia, ensuring that the bond of family was preserved even in difficult circumstances.

Today, Simon’s story is one of transformation. Though he began life in neglect and destitution, the care and compassion at Shiphrah Centre have given him the chance to rebuild his childhood with hope, dignity, and a brighter future.
