Grace Njeri Mwalale, the youngest of her siblings, was left orphaned after the death of her mother. Like her brothers and sister, she faced the pain of loss at a tender age and the insecurity of not having parental care. The hardship left her vulnerable, stressed, and in urgent need of care and protection.
Together with her siblings—Benjamine Musyoki, Jane Wambui, and Victor Kimani—Grace’s case was identified by the Chief of Kamuongo Sub-location, Kyuso, who intervened to ensure the children would not be left to struggle on their own. They were referred to Shiphrah Centre for rescue and protection.
At Shiphrah Centre, Grace found safety, comfort, and a sense of belonging. She received nutritious meals, medical attention, and emotional support, giving her the chance to heal from the trauma of loss and to begin growing in a stable environment.
Today, Grace’s story is one of hope restored. Though she began life carrying the heavy burden of grief and insecurity, she now has a nurturing home at Shiphrah Centre, where her future can be rebuilt with love, stability, and opportunity.
