Musa Caleb

Musa Caleb’s life began in the harshest of circumstances. He was born in the streets, into a family that was already homeless and unable to provide even the most basic needs. His parents had nothing—no shelter, no food, and no hope for a better future.

From the very beginning, Musa suffered. He came into the world hungry, weak, and without the nourishment every baby needs. His mother, overwhelmed by hardship and despair, could not breastfeed him. In her brokenness, she even reached the point of wanting to end his life.

It was only through the courage of a well-wisher that Musa’s life was spared. The well-wisher intervened just in time, rescuing both the baby and his mother and rushing them to the hospital. But even after receiving medical help, the mother rejected her child, unwilling to take responsibility for him.

With no one else to turn to, the case was brought to the attention of the Kawangware Location Area Chief, who stepped in to protect Musa’s life. Recognizing that the child needed urgent care, the Chief arranged for him to be taken to Shiphrah Centre.

At Shiphrah, Musa Caleb finally found what he had been denied since birth safety, love, and care. He was welcomed with open arms, given food, medical attention, and the gentle nurturing he so desperately needed.

Today, Musa is a living testimony of second chances. Where there was once rejection and hopelessness, there is now warmth and the promise of a brighter future. His story reminds us that even the most fragile lives can be restored when love and compassion intervene.
