Josephat Njogu also came to Shiphrah Centre with his sisters, Ann and Margaret. Like them, he appeared disturbed, stressed, and malnourished, needing urgent medical attention.
Their mother, a victim of abuse, had initially stayed at the Centre with the children for two months before abandoning them. With their father absent and their mother missing, Josephat was left in need of care, shelter, and guidance.
At Shiphrah, Josephat found the protection he needed and the stability to begin healing from the trauma of abandonment and neglect.
